Veterinary nurse Pat House sadly passed away on 10 May 2015, shortly before celebrating her 50th anniversary as a qualified VN.
The BVNA, which is also celebrating its 50th birthday this year, has expressed its sadness over her passing and said she will be sadly missed.
Pat qualified as a 'registered animal nursing auxiliary' on 17 August, 1965, when she was given registration number 62.
She was a BVNA Council member and honorary secretary from 1979 and 1985. As the title 'veterinary nurse' did not exist until 1984, the association was previously known as the British Animal Nursing Auxiliaries Association.
