BSAVA Congress closes
The BSAVA Congress 2013 closed after a hugely successful four days at Birmingham's ICC/NIA.
This year's event brought the small animal veterinary profession together for fantastic networking and CPD opportunities, as well as a wide range of interesting and topical lectures.
With over 250 exhibitors and more than 300 lectures, it was hard work squeezing everything in over the four days. Lecture topics included rational use of antibiotics, canine and feline behaviour in the practice and making you practice feline-friendly.
The exhibitors included many of the premier providers to the veterinary industry. The many exciting new product and service launches being discussed made for a very positive buzz in the NIA.
Some of the other significant launches at BSAVA included that of Mission Rabies, which heads to India in September, and SAVSNET, a unique small animal health surveillance project.
As well as the chance to gain CPD and learn more about a range of fascinating topics, the event provided ample opportunity for networking through its social events. The Congress Banquet and unbeatable party night were hugely successful and enjoyed by all!
Having enjoyed another fantastic event, it is safe to say delegates will be eagerly anticipating next year's congress.
Eligible members of BEVA will be able to vote for their Council team until Monday, 17 August 2026. Members will have received an election email on 17 July.
