Zoetis launches online learning academy
The Academy contains six equine courses covering equine herpesvirus (EHV).
Resource provides free CPD for veterinary surgeons and nurses.

Animal health firm Zoetis has announced the launch of the Zoetis Learning Academy, a multi-species online portal for veterinary surgeons and nurses to complete free CPD.

The Academy contains a total of 65 free courses, including six equine courses covering equine herpesvirus (EHV), worm control and equine gastric ulcer syndrome. The equine sessions covering EHV form part of Zoetis' online educational portfolio aimed at helping to combat the threat of this common disease.

It comes after a survey on EHV conducted by Zoetis last year confirmed a need for more education and awareness about the disease to be made available to both vets and owners.,

Penny McCann, Zoetis account manager, explained: “Given the recent cases of EHV-1 in the UK, it is very timely to be able to launch the Zoetis Learning Academy. It gives vets direct access to high-quality CPD, to help them keep their knowledge of all aspects of this serious equine health risk up-to-date, together with essential information on other key equine healthcare topics.”
