London Vet Show kicks off
Day one of two at London Vet Show 2012 has begun for the thousands of veterinary surgeons and professionals attending the fourth annual event.
The show is a perfect opportunity for both training and networking, with three streams of clinical programmes running throughout the two days, provided by the Royal Veterinary College.
Today's programmes include, 'Getting the most from your scope - top tips for upper GI endoscopy', 'Hypercalcaemia and hypocalcaemia - when should you worry and what can you do' and 'Sickly snakes and lousy lizards - reptile medicine fundamentals'.
Alongside the clinical programmes, a line up of business lectures, sponsor-led seminars, practical workshops, and education sessions - ran by various associations - are taking place.
At the heart of the event, which is being held at London's Olympia Grand Hall, are numerous exhibitors promoting their veterinary products, services and charities. There is certainly a lot to keep you busy!
In the official event guide's welcome, Event Director Rob Chapman writes: "The RVC has continued to provide outstanding content for the London Vet Show, which has helped to develop the event over the last four years to give us our biggest and best event to date, bringing together more delegates, more content, more exhibitors and more of the industry that we are delighted to serve."
