MRCVS user - (Strictly necessary)

Cookies enable us to identify your device, or when you have logged in. We use cookies that are strictly necessary to enable you to move around the site or to provide certain basic features.

The MRCVSuser cookie is used to determine if you have logged into the website.

Logging into the website allows certain privileged features, for example, single click recording of CPD time. This cookie is destroyed each time you close your browser.

EU cookie law - (Strictly necessary)

To detect if you have agreed to MRCVSonline's cookie law, MRCVSonline places a cookie(s) to prevent you from being asked in the future. This will expire every 365 days.

MRCVS login - (Functionality)

If you wish to remain logged in between visits, a cookie will be set to remember your details. This cookie will expire in 6 months or be destroyed when you select 'sign out'.

If you select the 'Stay logged in' option, MRCVSonline will alert the user that a cookie will be placed.

iPad app - (Functionality)

If the website is viewed on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the user will be offered the functionality of the iOS application that we have developed. If the user would like to view the website instead, a cookie will be placed with the value='1' with a month expiry date. This will be used to check if the user would prefer to visit the website instead.

Google Analytics - (Performance)

MRCVSonline uses Google Analytics to track which articles/features are most popular, so we can focus on these areas to improve the user experience.

RVC leads globally for Veterinary Science

The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) has retained its lead in Veterinary Science education in the QS World University Rankings 2025.

The college scored 100 for its Academic Reputation and increased its Employer Reputation to 91.7 points. It also maintained high scores for Citations per Paper and H-Index.

RVC says that its score recognises its students' employability and the institution's standing with employers. It also highlighted the impact that its graduates and alumni are making in the sector.

Stuart Reid CBE, president and principal of RVC, said: "We are dedicated to maintaining the teaching, learning and research that takes place at the RVC.

"I am delighted that the effort from all our staff and students has once again led to a great outcome in the QS rankings; it is a privilege we do not take for granted."
