NAVP to host new annual conference
October sees launch of new physio conference

The National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists will be hosting their inaugural annual conference at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, this October. The conference intends to bring together a number of leading veterinary canine and equine orthopaedic specialists who will present some of the latest developments in their fields.

Veterinary physiotherapy has become widely recognised and offers a therapeutic approach to veterinary medicine, providing a high level of care in the rehabilitation of injured animals and keeping athletic animals at their peak.

The conference held by NAVP will include speakers such as NAVP president Dr Susan Kempson, Dr Svend Kold and Dr Angus Anderson who will cover issues including ‘kissing spines’ in horses and the investigation and treatment of joint disease in canines.

NAVP Chairman Halina Tombs says: “We felt that the time was right to launch an annual conference which we hope will become a forum for those interested in exploring the potential of veterinary physiotherapy. We are delighted to have attracted such a prestigious list of speakers for our first conference and I am sure that its content will be very thought-provoking.”
