The 'MRCVSuser' cookie is used to determine if you have logged into the website.

Logging into the website allows certain privileged features, for example, single click recording of CPD time. This cookie is destroyed each time you close your browser.

The 'savedDataPreferences' cookie is set once you click 'Accept All', 'Reject Non Essential' or 'Save & Exit'.

The 'savedDataPreferences' cookie is only used to prevent you from being asked about your data preferences every time you visit a page.

PHPSESSID - (Strictly necessary)

The 'PHPSESSID' cookie is used to store your session ID.

Your session ID is used to allow interactions between the MRCVSonline website and your browser, necessary during account login and form submissions.

iPad app - (Functionality)

If the website is viewed on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the user will be offered the functionality of the iOS application that we have developed.

If the user would like to view the website instead, a cookie will be placed with the value='1' with a month expiry date.
This will be used to check if the user would prefer to visit the website instead.

Third Party

To support our journalism, MRCVSonline will, from time to time, link YouTube videos, as well as use social media such as Facebook or Twitter.

New Olympic hub for equestrian sports

The FEI has launched a new online hub dedicated to all things Olympic and Paralympic during the run up to the Games this summer.

The new website comes as equestrian sport celebrates the anniversary of its Olympic movement and all the equine and human athletes that have made Olympic equestrian history since 1912.

The Olympic hub explores each edition of the games, with summaries on the sport, complete results, statistics and iconic photos of Olympic venues and the equestrian world’s most celebrated riders and horses. The hub will soon be expanded to include biographies for athletes and officials at the London 2012 Olympic Games, as well as the history of equestrian events at the Paralympic Games since equestrian joined the list of Paralympic sports in 1996.

FEI President, HRH Princess Hava said: “Each Olympics and Paralympics bring new achievements and the ever changing horizon of sporting enterprise, and we greet each new experience with anticipation and expectation. But the Games are not only about the here and now and what is to come.”

Update to TB Advice services

This new, streamlined service allows customers to provide all necessary information upfront, minimising additional contact between the APHA and the customer. It also ensures questions are directed to the right team, significantly reducing response times.

New form for online veterinary medicines retailers

The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) has produced a new online form for retailers wishing to sell veterinary medicines on the internet.

The form replace the previous Word version and is part of the VMD's ongoing commitment to digitise its processes. Anyone retailing prescription medicines online, including POM-V, POM-VPS and NFA-VPS categories, is lawfully required to register with the VMD before trading.

The change only applies to new applicants. Retailers already listed on the VMD's Register of Online Retailers or registered under the Accredited Internet Retailer Scheme (AIRS) do not need to do anything.
