DipVN support group moves online
With students, colleges and practices anxious to start the new Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, a support group has emerged, consisting of veterinary professionals, academics and interested students.
The veterinary community appears to have enthusiastically embraced an alternative to the existing VN qualification and many were hoping to start in September.
Whilst still awaiting RCVS VN Council approval, messages from across the veterinary industry have been flooding in, showing encouragement for the DipVN.
To help make it easier for people to lend their support, a single web page has been created at www.vetnursing.org, with a sample letter which reflects the comments and feedback received so far.

Two independent vets have launched a podcast to help owners strengthen their bond with pets. Dr Maggie Roberts and Dr Vanessa Howie, who have worked in both veterinary practice and major charities, are keen to use their experience to enable people to give pets a better life.
