Jumbo Ultrasound at Whipsnade Zoo

An image just released from Whispnade zoo shows an ultrasound of George (the zoo’s latest pachyderm arrival) 19 months before he was born.

Seen here at approximately 3 months into its 22-month pregnancy, the elephant embryo is clearly visible using 3D ultrasound scanners.

A year and a half later, George’s birth was captured by cameras and viewers can witness the incredible moment in episode two of ITV1’s The Zoo, which will be broadcast on Tuesday 16th November at 8pm.

Voting opens for BEVA Council

Milk recalled over presence of veterinary medicines

Graham's Family Dairy has issued a recall for its semi-skimmed milk due to the presence of veterinary medicines in the product.

In a risk statement, the Food Standards Agency said the presence of the medicines, including penicillin, make the milk unsafe to consume and 'may be a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to antibiotics'.

Customers who bought the product are advised to return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
