Dogs Can Distract Drivers
According to the research, many dog owners may be putting themselves in danger by travelling with their pet. In fact, 80% of those questioned admitted to being distracted when their dog was in the car. Furthermore, the results show that around 55% pet their dog while travelling with them, 21% allow their dog to sit on their lap, 7% give them food or drink and 5% play with them.



The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is inviting applications from veterinary students to attend a one-week extramural studies (EMS) placement in July 2026.
