VN Uniform a ‘Fashion Classic’
The P785 tunic.
Some uniform styles come and go but Grahame Gardner’s P785 is displaying all the signs of enduring popularity associated with a classic style.  After being developed for the fashion focused Beauty Market, Grahame Gardner soon found interest for the tunic coming from the Veterinary Market – where it continues to be a hit!

The classic style boasts a mandarin style collar and side opening detail, with attractive pearl studs and a tri-button internal security feature.

Simon Ward, Sales Director comments on the ongoing success of this style: “We design new tunics throughout the year, but when the outlines for the P785 were put on the table we all recognised they were something special. The response from the Veterinary Market has been phenomenal and it has gone on to be one of our best sellers. What makes the P785 so popular is its broad appeal, it represents a more fashionable take on workwear, so is popular with all members of staff, yet it is also very smart and professional so the management also give it their seal of approval. Perhaps best of all, the cut and the length of the tunic mean that is a very flattering shape for all.”

UK's BSE risk status downgraded

The WOAH has downgraded the UK's international risk status for BSE to 'negligible'.

Defra says that the UK's improved risk status recognises the reputation for having the highest standards for biosecurity. It adds that it demonstrates decades of rigorous animal control.

Outbreaks of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, also known as mad cow disease, have previously resulted in bans on Britain's beef exports.

The UK's new status could lead to expanded trade and better confidence in British beef.

Christine Middlemiss, the UK's chief veterinary officer, said: "WOAH's recognition of the UK as negligible risk for BSE is a significant milestone and is a testament to the UK's strong biosecurity measures and the hard work and vigilance of farmers and livestock keepers across the country who have all played their part in managing the spread of this disease.
