Kennel Club announces free epilepsy webinar
Free webinar for owners who would like to find out more about canine epilepsy.

Online event geared towards dog owners and breeders.

Dog owners and breeders can attend a free webinar on canine epilepsy, hosted by The Kennel Club.

The event, which takes place via Microsoft Teams on Monday 30 January, will explain the condition in depth, including research advancements to date, and how to support dogs with epilepsy.

Professor Holger Volk, canine neurology specialist and leader of the International Veterinary Epilepsy Task Force, will be the event's speaker. He will discuss influencing factors, the future of epilepsy research and managing the condition.

Attendees will also have the chance to take part in a question and answer session in the webinar, taking advantage of Professor Volk's wealth of knowledge on canine epilepsy.

The event will last for an hour and a half, beginning at 7.00pm.

The Kennel Club provides further information on canine epilepsy for dog owners on a dedicated webpage, and anyone interested in registering for the free event can do so via this Microsoft Teams link.

Webinar to explore AMR in vet dentistry

 The WSAVA has invited veterinary professionals to a webinar on responsible antibiotic usage in dentistry.

On 19 November 2025, at 1am, Dr J Scott Weese and Dr Brooke Niemiec will share the latest advice for antimicrobial use. They will present research on oral bacterology, and explain how attendees can choose appropriate antibiotics.

The session will cover pre-, intra- and post-operative guidelines, with recommendations for various pathologies.

The webinar is designed to support veterinary professionals to make informed decisions and tackle antimicrobial resistance.

Dechra launches checklist for veterinary sustainability

Global animal health specialist Dechra has announced the world's first Veterinary Green Theatre Checklist (VGTC) to help make surgery more sustainable.

Endorsed by leading veterinary organisations, including the BEVA, BVNA and RCVS Knowledge, the checklist is designed to reduce the environmental footprint of veterinary care, while supporting better animal health outcomes.

The checklist was launched at the World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in Paris and will be followed by an internal training and awareness campaign. For more information, visit dechra.com
