Royal College publishes 2021 Annual Report
RCVS members are invited to send any questions about the report in advance of the College's AGM.

The report outlines how the RCVS met its strategic objectives in 2021.

The RCVS has published its Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2021.

Released ahead of the College's Annual General Meeting (8 July), the report outlines how the RCVS met its strategic objectives in 2021 and
highlights a number of key accomplishments.

The publication also contains a report from RCVS Knowledge, a report on the College's financial management policies, the report of the independent auditor responsible for signing off the Annual Report, and the College’s financial statements. 

Members of the RCVS, as well as veterinary nurses, are invited to send in any questions they may have about the report in advance of the AGM. Questions should be sent to Deborah Rowlanes, RCVS Events Manager, at d.rowlanes@rcvs.org.uk no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, 5 July.

Webinar to explore AMR in vet dentistry

 The WSAVA has invited veterinary professionals to a webinar on responsible antibiotic usage in dentistry.

On 19 November 2025, at 1am, Dr J Scott Weese and Dr Brooke Niemiec will share the latest advice for antimicrobial use. They will present research on oral bacterology, and explain how attendees can choose appropriate antibiotics.

The session will cover pre-, intra- and post-operative guidelines, with recommendations for various pathologies.

The webinar is designed to support veterinary professionals to make informed decisions and tackle antimicrobial resistance.

Dechra launches checklist for veterinary sustainability

Global animal health specialist Dechra has announced the world's first Veterinary Green Theatre Checklist (VGTC) to help make surgery more sustainable.

Endorsed by leading veterinary organisations, including the BEVA, BVNA and RCVS Knowledge, the checklist is designed to reduce the environmental footprint of veterinary care, while supporting better animal health outcomes.

The checklist was launched at the World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in Paris and will be followed by an internal training and awareness campaign. For more information, visit dechra.com
