IVC acquires telemedicine provider PawSquad
Dr Mark Boddy, CEO, PawSquad.
Firm will operate as an autonomous entity within the IVC group.

European Veterinary Group IVC Evidensia (IVC) has acquired PawSquad, a veterinary telemedicine provider offering consultations by video and live text chat across the UK.

In a press statement, IVC said that PawSquad 'will continue to operate as an autonomous entity within the IVC group', adding that IVC will continue to serve the needs of pet owners 'regardless of the vet practice they currently visit'.

Commenting on the acquisition, PawSquad CEO, Dr Mark Boddy, said: “Our network of experienced veterinarians has already helped many thousands of pets in the UK, providing medical advice, emergency triage and preventive health plans. Being part of IVC will allow us to help even more pets and to continue to work positively and collaboratively with the veterinary profession, as well as expand geographically.”

Founded in 2015, PawSquad’s corporate customers and partners currently include Direct Line Insurance, Blue Cross and the PDSA.
