Excellent response for MRCVSonline topic suggestions

MRCVSonline would like to thank all of our members for the feedback they have been sending us over the past couple of weeks.

Andrew Millar, from Ardene House Veterinary Practice in Aberdeen, has been selected as the winner of the £50 John Lewis Vouchers.

At the beginning of August, we asked you to start sending over the topics that most interest you – the ones that you would like to see more of on MRCVSonline.

We've had an absolutely fantastic response, and your suggestions were more informative and widely-scoped than we could ever
have hoped.

All of your suggested topics have been taken on board, so be sure to look out for more information from MRCVSonline in future about the topic you personally suggested.

And don't forget to keep the suggestions coming! We want our articles to be as relevant and informative as possible to those that matter – you, our readers.

We are always just an email away if you'd like to continue letting us know those topics that are most important to you.

The nomination period for the 2026 RCVS Council and VN Council elections is now open, with three veterinary surgeon seats and two veterinary nurse seats available.

Prospective candidates can download an information pack and nomination form from the RCVS website. Individuals can nominate themselves for the elections, with the results to be announced in the spring.

Clare Paget, the recently appointed RCVS Registrar and elections returning officer, said: "If you want to play your part in influencing and moulding how the professions are regulated, and making key decisions on matters of great importance to your peers, the public and animal health and welfare, please consider standing for RCVS Council or VN Council next year."

Nominations close at 5pm on Saturday, 31 January 2026.
