Vet Collin Willson awarded OBE
Veterinary surgeon Collin Willson has been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours for his services to animal welfare and public health in the meat industry.
Since qualifying in 1973, Dr Willson has held various public health roles. He currently works as animal welfare veterinary lead at the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and serves as senior vice-president of the Welsh branch of the British Veterinary Association.
Dr Willson said: “I am honoured that my colleagues have nominated me for this honour.
“It reflects the work of the FSA animal welfare team as well as myself and this work has been supported by the British Veterinary Association and Veterinary Public Health Association of which I am a past president.
