Emma Dahm joins Vision Media
Emma Dahm
New member welcomed to publishing team

Vision Media – the team behind MRCVSonline and vnonline, which specialises in publishing, marketing, design and web services – has welcomed Emma Dahm as managing editor.

Emma, who is a London Metropolitan University graduate, has been working within the veterinary and animal health publishing industry for nearly 15 years.

After spending a year working as a scientific officer at Sutton Bonington Veterinary Investigation Centre, Emma pursued a career in writing and communicating veterinary science.

She became journals manager for a number of publications at Elsevier Science, including Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery, Research in Veterinary Science and Journal of Comparative Pathology.

Emma then went on to the role of assistant editor for the British Veterinary Association's (BVA) Veterinary Record and Journal of Small Animal Practice, before becoming editor of VN Times and digital manager for Veterinary Business Development.

At Vision Media, she will be working on various projects, including brand new journal Veterinary Practice Today, as well as the veterinary news websites MRCVSonline and vnonline.

Of her move, she said: "The team's excitement over new digital products and producing top-quality, relevant content is obvious and I'm very much looking forward to playing a part."

A new online portal, named MyRCVS, will also change how members access the College's other digital services.

Through MyRCVS, members will now be able to access 1CPD, RCVS Academy, Stanley, the VetGDP platform and the NPL. They can also use MyRCVS to update details, manage registrations, raise concerns and pay fees.

RCVS is to host a webinar on the new functionality on Wednesday, 12 August from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. To sign up, visit the Eventbrite page.
